Our History and Mission

The Westmoreland Historical Society was chartered in 1984 to collect, preserve, and exhibit town artifacts and records. In addition to managing archival collections, the Society maintains a one-room schoolhouse filled with authentic educational artifacts; cares for the roadside New York State historic markers; and presents a unique historical display each month in the showcase at the entrance to the Westmoreland Town Hall.
